Here are five ways in which I have learned to manage stress during recovery without resorting to self-medication with drugs and alcohol, going for a walk, taking a hot bath, meditating, keeping a diary, practicing yoga & by breathing deeply, cooking and eating a healthy meal, reading a book, picking up the phone and calling for their sober support.
